Meet the Candidates

My name is Sophia Nguyen, and I am running to be your Student Body President. As a current junior majoring in Government and International Politics and minoring Global Affairs, I am running for President because I believe it is time for Student Government to become the voice of ALL individuals at GMU. If elected, I will value responsibility and accountability over everything, and will devote my time to create solutions for the issues happening at GMU. Everything that you see on our platform are voiced by our students, and if elected, Celine and I WILL solve these issues. A vote for Nguyen-Apenteng is a vote for YOUR voice to be heard. 

My name is Celine Apenteng and I am running for Student Body Vice President. My time in Student Government has led me to the understanding that the work we do affects every student on and off campus at GMU and the untapped potential for change is what's necessary to provoke serious change for students. Our two years in Student Government have shown us what it takes to cultivate the developments students have asked for and need. We value hard work, consistency, and results that will improve the lives of students as we put your needs first and advocate in spaces you customarily don't have access to. A vote for us is a vote for commitment and progression
